The hallways were abuzz with parents and excited children this morning as school opened to recieve students.  Students looked for friends and were excited to meet their new teachers. One 2nd grader raced down the connector hall with a big smile on his face yelling ,"It's the first day of 2nd grade!" Seeing the students this excited to start school is what makes our day!

Proof of Residency is REQUIRED for your child to officially enroll in Blaine County schools. Proof of Residency in Blaine County MUST be provided at your child’s school NO LATER than September 2, 2008. If your child arrives at school on September 2, 2008 without having proven residency, we will NOT accept your child in class that day. Parents will be immediately called and are expected to pick up their child(ren). If parents do not pick up their children, they will return home on the regular bus routes. The bus drivers, as well as school staff, will be advised of these students. These students will NOT be able to get on the busses or return to school on September 3, 2008.

Hailey Elementary teachers have been working hard this week preparing their classrooms for the up and coming first day of school on  August 25th! We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer break. We are excited to meet our new students and look forward to an outstanding school year!

Students may not enter school without proof of residency!
Please stop by the office to complete your registration with Jane on August 18th, 19th, 20th and the 22nd this week between 8am and 3pm.

Class Lists will be posted on the front doors by the office
 at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 18th at Hailey Elementary School!

Parents will need to come in and provide several forms
 of proof of residency in August. Details will be forthcoming.

Registration for new students to the district will be
August 12th, between 9am and 12pm.
You can find and print registration forms to the right under "Quick Links", or get them at the main office.
New students can be registered with the school secretary Jane Dyndiuk any morning.
Office hours are 8am to 12pm beginning July 14th.
Mrs. Dyndiuk will NOT be in the office on August 8th and 11th.

Don't forget to print your student's classroom supply list!

You can buy most of your supplies at the Hailey Elementary PTA School Store! The PTA School Store will be open on August 18th-22nd from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The store will also be open the first three days of school from 7:30 am to 8:15 am, so come and "Stock Up" for that first day of school on August 25th!
