Success Stories
Learning to Balance Work and Life - Emma Burgen -
Silver Creek High School
Meet
Certified Nursing Assistant Emma Burgen (pictured here with her
son). Burgen received her CNA while registered as a student at
Silver Creek High School. “I came back to school after having my
son, Charlie,” says Burgen. “The new Teen Parenting Center gave
me an opportunity to finish school and take dual-credit classes
through the College of Southern Idaho. Now I have a full time
job using my CNA and I’m enrolled in CSI’s nursing program with
a full class schedule in the fall. I’m excited for the future
and for my son’s future!” says the proud mom.
Gabby German - Silver Creek High School
With
three dual college credits under her belt, Gabby German
(pictured here with her daughter) is graduating with a solid
plan in place. “I just signed my contract with The Paul Mitchell
School,” said German. “I’m looking forward to having a skill
that can take me anywhere in the world – I enjoy working with
people and everyone needs a good haircut!” said German. German
credits her teachers at Silver Creek High School with providing
the support she needed to graduate and make a plan for her
future.
