100 School District Philosophy
The Board continually seeks curriculum and staff improvement based on reliable research, sound principles of child development and proven teaching practices. The Board believes that it is the duty of the school organization to serve the community by providing a comprehensive educational program, and it pledges that each school will offer students the opportunity for maximum growth potential in a climate of mutual trust and respect.
200 Board of Trustees
It is the policy of the Board of Trustees to distinguish between those activities which are appropriate to the Board of Trustees as the legislative governing body of the School District, and those administrative activities which are to be performed by the Superintendent of Schools and district staff in the exercise of delegated administrative authority. The function of the Board can be described as policy-making, appraisal, and evaluation.
300 District Administration Organization
The Superintendent of Schools will be the executive officer of the Board of Education and shall be directly responsible to it for the execution of its policies, for the faithful and efficient observance of its rules by all employees throughout the system, and for the enforcement of all provisions of the law relating to the operation of the schools.
400 Certified Personnel
It is the goal of the Board of Trustees of the Blaine County School District to provide each child enrolled in school with an educational program, which meets the highest possible standards of excellence. The Board of Trustees fully realizes that success in attaining that goal, in a large measure, is dependent upon the collective competency of its professional staff and those persons who serve in District supportive positions to the instructional programs of the Blaine County School District.
423 Non-Certified Personnel
Non-certified personnel are in classified positions and are sometimes called Classified personnel. Non-certified personnel are those people doing jobs within the School District, which do not require an Idaho teaching certificate. Examples are as follows: secretaries, paraprofessionals, lunch personnel, bus drivers, custodians, assistant custodians, and non-skilled laborers.

500 Student Personnel
The student policies section includes rules concerning attendance, homework, student health, activities, graduation, behavior and discipline, and grading.

600 Educational Program
The Board of Education believes that all children should have an equal opportunity to be educated to the full extent of their abilities, aptitudes, capabilities, and interests through a program that recognizes and provides for the individual differences of all children of the School District.

700 Auxiliary Services
The Board of Education shall, as it deems necessary, make provisions for auxiliary services that will enhance the opportunity for all children to take full advantage of the educational program.

800 Buildings and Sites
School buildings and sites shall be acquired and maintained as required to achieve the educational goals of the School District.

900 School-Community Relations
It is the policy of Blaine County School District No. 61 to communicate as effectively and accurately as possible with the public in regard to school related activities, functions, academic programs, and related programs in order to promote a well-informed citizenry.
